Made from natural silk fibres, our Silk Pillowcases are inherently resistant to tearing and breakage, unlike satin, which is essentially a weave. These pillowcases not only provide exceptional skin and hair protection, safeguarding against issues like loss of hair definition, breakage, and frizz, but also shield delicate facial skin from fine lines, creases, and wrinkles. Insert the pillow/pillow filling into the open end of the pillowcase until the pillow/pillow filling is fully covered by the pillowcase.
What is the difference between satin and silk?
Silk is a natural protein fibre known for its softness. Satin, a weaving technique, can be applied to silk or other materials. Silk has a unique feel and shimmery appearance, while satin’s hallmark is its smooth, glossy surface created by the weaving pattern.
Do I need to wear a bonnet if I use the pillowcase?
Ideally, yes. For curl retention, reduced frizz, and longer gaps between wash days, we recommend wearing a satin/silk bonnet and using a satin/silk pillowcase. However, using either one will also provide some of these benefits.
Is the pillowcase washable?
We recommend dry-cleaning our silk products.
