All You Need To Know
If you’re wondering what the secret to gorgeous, bouncy and defined curls and waves is, well, it’s a lot of things, but stylers also have a crucial role to play. Developed by founders Hinshara and Yuba (also devout followers of Lorraine Massey’s Curly Girl Method) to fill the void of good quality CG-friendly products in India, our Hydrate and Hold Kit is a great way to seal in all the goodness from your conditioners and cleansers, add an extra layer of moisture, and give your curls and waves long-lasting definition.
Enriched with the nourishing properties of slippery elm, seaweed, and marshmallow root extracts, our Leave-in Conditioner goes beyond traditional conditioning, giving protection, amazing slip, increased shine, and reduced frizz. When followed with our Hard Hold Gel, infused with amino acids and advanced polymers, you can be assured of transformational curls and waves that are vibrant, healthy, and lustrous.
First Leave-in Conditioner
Step 1: Take the required amount of Leave-in Conditioner (depending on hair length and texture) and apply evenly to cleansed and conditioned hair.
Step 2: Use a brush, comb, or your fingers to rake in the product, and gently scrunch for enhanced curl pattern and better definition.
Second Hard Hold Gel
Step 1: Take the required amount of gel (depending on hair length and texture) and glaze it over sectioned, wet hair using praying hands motion.
Step 2: Gently scrunch your hair, for enhanced curl pattern and better definition. Avoid touching your hair once you’ve applied the gel and while drying to minimise frizz.
Step 3: Air dry or diffuse. Shake the roots, fluff, and scrunch out the cast (SOTC) once your hair is 100% dry.
*A gel should be the last product you apply in your styling routine. Use a styling method that works best for your hair.
Leave-in Conditioner
Slippery elm extract: Nature’s conditioner, slippery elm extract not only offers deep hydration and great slip, but also forms a protective coating on the hair shaft, minimising environmental damage and acting as a shield to maintain the integrity of the hair, leaving you with smoother, frizz-free hair with enhanced texture and manageability.

Marshmallow root extract: Deeply moisturises and hydrates making it an essential ingredient in curly haircare products. What’s more, it provides a natural slip for easy detangling and breakage-free styling. Increased shine and reduced frizz are just some of its other many benefits, giving you lustrous, smooth and soft hair.

Hard Hold Gel
Polymers: A great ingredient for combating frizz, polymers form a protective barrier on the hair as well as add volume and thickness to the strands. Additionally, polymers not only aid in detangling but also offer protection against heat styling. The use of polymers in haircare products enhances hair definition and helps retain hairstyles for days.
Amino acids: Amino acids play a crucial role in enhancing hair health as they serve as the fundamental building blocks for the protein keratin, which constitutes the majority of your hair structure. Increased strength and elasticity and reduced breakage and brittleness are just some of the many benefits of amino acids.
Orange essential oil: With a revitalising and refreshing citrus aroma, orange essential oil is packed with antioxidants that are both nourishing and fortifying for your hair. The essential oil also helps increase shine and radiance.

Can the stylers be used by all hair types?
Yes, the Leave-in Conditioner and Hard Hold Gel are suitable for all hair types.
Are the products safe for children and pregnant women?
The Leave-in Conditioner and Hard Hold Gel are safe for pregnant women and children; however, we do not recommend the use of stylers on very young children.
What is the order for using the products?
On clean and conditioned hair, first apply the Leave-in Conditioner, followed by the Hard Hold Gel.
I have dermatitis/a sensitive scalp can I still use the stylers?
Manetain does not make medicated products, and we do recommend consulting a doctor before using our products if you have any medical issues with your scalp or hair.
Are the products unisex?
