All You Need To Know
Developed by founders Hinshara and Yuba (also devout followers of Lorraine Massey’s Curly Girl Method) to fill the void of good quality CG-friendly products in India, our Sleeping Kit has everything you need to sleep worry-free and wake up to gorgeous hair.
While the satin/silk pillowcases and bonnets provide skin and hair protection by reducing friction and abrasion commonly experienced when sleeping on cotton or other fabric pillowcases, thereby preventing frizz, tangles, breakage, fine lines, creases and wrinkles, the scrunchie can be used not only for pineappling your hair when you sleep but also as a handy accessory.
Pillowcase
Insert the pillow/pillow filling into the open end of the pillowcase until the pillow/pillow filling is fully covered by the pillowcase.
Bonnet
Tie your hair on top of your head using one of our scrunchies, also called pineappling. Wear the bonnet like a cap and secure it in place. If you have a tying option, you can adjust the fit as per your comfort.
Scrunchie
Use the scrunchie as you would any hair tie or scrunchie.
Do I need to wear the bonnet if I use the pillowcase?
Ideally, yes. For curl retention, reduced frizz, and longer gaps between wash days, we recommend wearing the bonnet and using the pillowcase. However, using either one will also provide some of these benefits.
Will the Sleeping Kit make my hair curly?
No. Our products do not make hair curly; they only repair and encourage your natural texture.
Will the bonnet give me a headache?
Our bonnets with tying and non-tying options are designed for headache-free nights; however, for those who are more sensitive, we recommend breathable options like silk and cotton satin.
Are the products unisex?
All Manetain products are gender inclusive.
