Manetain Co-wash
A staple in any CGM routine, our Co-wash was developed by founders Hinshara and Yuba (also devout followers of Lorraine Massey’s Curly Girl Method) to fill the void of good quality CG-friendly products in India. Most intrinsic to any CG routine, the Co-wash is a hero product as it helps prevent the drying out of textured hair (especially curls) caused by the repeated use of shampoos. With a name that literally means “conditioner wash,” the Cowash can also be used as a conditioner.
What makes Manetain’s Co-wash extra special is that it comes packed with a powerhouse of cooling and pH balancing ingredients that make the cleanser perfect for India’s hot and humid climate.
Cleanse:
Take two to three pumps of Co-wash and emulsify in your palms. Apply to a wet scalp. Make sure to use your fingertips or a scalp massaging brush to massage the product into the scalp and dislodge dirt and grime.
Rinse:
Rinse out the Co-wash while continuing to massage the scalp, ensuring a proper cleanse.
Condition:
Co-wash can be reapplied to the lengths of dripping wet hair as a conditioner. Rinse well.
Peppermint:
Naturally cleanses and cools while helping to stimulate growth and promote hair health. It also helps to reduce frizz.
Neem:
Nature’s antimicrobial powerhouse, neem helps to soothe the scalp, reduce itchiness and irritation, and promote a healthy scalp environment for healthy hair.
Tea tree oil:
Another antimicrobial, tea tree oil is known for its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. It helps to not only clean the scalp but also nourish and soothe it, promoting a healthy environment for hair growth.
Can this be used by all hair types?
The Co-wash is not suited for people with fine or low-density hair.
Is the product safe for children and pregnant women?
The Co-wash is not suited for pregnant women and children below the age of five.
Does the Manetain cleanser lather?
The Co-wash is a non-foaming cleanser.
Is this cleanser colour safe?
Yes.
I have dermatitis/a sensitive scalp can I still use the Manetain cleanser?
The tea tree oil and neem in the Co-wash might be beneficial for people with scalp problems; however, Manetain does not make medicated products and we do recommend consulting a doctor before using our products.
Is this unisex?
All Manetain products are gender inclusive.
