All You Need To Know
A curly/wavy person’s primary defence against frizz and loss of curl definition, a good styling gel is quintessential to a CGM routine. Developed by founders Hinshara and Yuba (also devout followers of Lorraine Massey’s Curly Girl Method) to fill the void of good quality CG-friendly products in India, our Volume Gel is a volumising, moisturising, and fortifying gel with soft to medium hold.
What makes Manetain’s Volume Gel extra special is that it comes packed with a powerhouse of natural ingredients that help rejuvenate and invigorate the hair and aid in the recovery of lost radiance, vitality, and shine. Infused with aloe leaf extract, and the goodness of flaxseed, chia seed extract, and agave nectar extract, the gel helps with frizz reduction, curl definition, and shine.
What’s more, it contains pectin, which is a natural thickening agent that helps provide hold and structure to hairstyles without harmful chemicals.
Take the required amount of gel (depending on hair length and texture) and spread it in your palms.
Using the praying hands motion, glaze the gel over sectioned, wet hair to lock in the moisture from our Curl Cream.
Gently scrunch your hair, cupping the hair in your hands and lifting to your scalp, for enhanced curl pattern and better definition. Avoid touching your hair once you’ve applied the gel and while drying to minimise frizz.
Air dry or diffuse.
Shake the roots, fluff, and scrunch out the cast (SOTC) once your hair is 100% dry.
*A gel should be the last product you apply in your styling routine. For best results, use our Volume Gel after applying our Curl Cream on cleansed and conditioned hair. Use a styling method that works best for your hair.
Flaxseed and chia seed extract:
Flax seed and chia seeds are both rich in omega-3 and antioxidants, which strengthen and add shine and softness to the hair. Chia seeds in particular help create a natural, flexible hold for hairstyles and provide nourishing benefits with their omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants.
Aloevera extract:
Aloe vera serves as a superhero ingredient for hair, offering countless benefits such as hydration, scalp soothing, itchiness relief, and enhanced hair growth through improved scalp blood circulation.
Agave nectar extract:
A natural alternative to synthetic ingredients, agave nectar extract hydrates and moisturises the hair, while reducing frizz, preventing split-ends and adding shine.
Can this be used by all hair types?
Yes, the Volume Gel is suitable for all hair types.
Is the product safe for children and pregnant women?
The Volume Gel is safe for pregnant women and children; however, we do not recommend the use of stylers on very young children.
Does the gel form a cast?
Yes. The Volume Gel forms a gel cast.
I have dermatitis/a sensitive scalp can I still use this gel?
Manetain does not make medicated products, and we do recommend consulting a doctor before using our products if you have any medical issues with your scalp or hair.
Is this unisex?
